INES General Assembly 2009 in Berlin

This year’s INES general assembly took place on Sunday, November 15, at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. INES Chairman Erik Breves summarized the activities which have taken place over the past year referring to current developments and news from the INES network.
There was quite an extensive program to be dealt with in this meeting: Following the report about INES’ financial situation, INES’ members formally approved the activities of the board. In the following, the annual elections to the board were held. Nathan Droesch became the new INES treasurer, succeeding Joost Osmers who did not run for another term in office. Hauke Broecker joined the board as assessor, while all other board members were re-elected and confirmed in their resoective offices for another year.
Subsequent to the formal part of the general assembly, we opened the floor for discussion. Over coffee and delicious cake, new project ideas for the future development of INES were discussed. A lot of new ideas were presented and discussed underlining the motivation of all of our members. The INES board is delighted about the success of the assembly, which also provided a great opportunity to meet a lot of INES members again and to deepen friendships.
