INES was delighted to host the workshop “Promoting good working conditions worldwide” during this year’s Magdeburg Symposium. We enjoyed watching the participants taking the role of different political organizations, arguing about benefits and risks of a law which guarantees good environmental and working conditions around the world. This was not an easy task, however, the representatives of the European Commission found a compromise among all stakeholders. In the evaluation of the workshop, one participants remarked that “the wealthy part of the world will have to show responsability and solidarity with the poorer part”.
With this conclusion we would like to thank our participants and the organizing committee of the Magdeburg Symposium! It is encouraging to see all the great commitment and work. We are looking Forward to the next workshop with you.
