INES has its roots in Northern Germany and therefore of course it is compulsory to cultivate some traditions from this region. Well equipped with a trolley and drinks we hiked through the nice nature in Bremen. As tradition has it, we stopped at each intersection to have a traditional toast: “Nicht lang schnacken, Kopp in’ Nacken!” (meaning something like ‘Don’t talk so much, just drink!’). Even some citizens walking past enjoyed the sight of young people fostering cultural assets and accepted our invitation for a drink. Tolerance and understanding starts right in your front yard.
Afterwards we gathered for the traditional cabbage feast. After a beautiful day everybody agreed: We’ll have to repeat this next year!
