The Krzyżowa Foundation for European Understanding invites students from Germany and Poland to devote themselves to the topic of “National Socialism, Resistance and Remembrance” for one week. In Krzyżowa, where once the resistance group of Helmuth James von Moltke got together, the participants will have the opportunity to learn more about different forms of resistance in order to approach important aspects of German and Polish history. Talks with historians and contemporary witnesses will add to the content. Discussions among the participants of the two countries will enable them to reflect upon their different perceptions of history. The programme also includes a visit to the former concentration camp of Groß-Rosen which is situated nearby. That alone would provide for numerous links to the topics of national socialism, resistance and remembrance. The INES Regional Group of Constance plays an active role in the organization of the event.
